وأسقمتَ ذي المهجة بالجوى
أبكيتني ليلا طويلاَ ما هدأ
سقى خدّي دمعٌ ما ارتوى
ما كان ذنبي إلا أنّي عشقتك
زرعتك عهداً في بند الهوى
زهراً في فجر أيامي أينع
و شذىً لهمس الكلام احتوى
قطفتُ من شفاهك عهد الوفا
ورطّبتُ الحنايا بدعاءٍ و نجوى
لكنّ الدروب ملأى بشوك الجفا
أدمتْ أناملَ شِعري وانطوى
سرقتَ الأماني بغفوة حلمِ
وكلمٍ جارحٍ مزّق ثناياه فذوى
تهاوى سرُّ بقائي في سماكَ
و توارى ذيّاك النبضُ وهوَى
في قحل أيامك تركتُ الندى
علّ ذكرايَ تبكيكَ الهوى
