یهواكَ ما عشتُ الفؤادُ فإن أمُتْ = یتبعْ صدایَ صداكَ عندَ الأقبرِِ

أنتِ النعیمُ لقلبی و العذابُ لهُ = فما أمرّكِ فی قلبی وأحلاكِ

وما عجبی موت المحبینَ فی الهوى = و لكن بقاءَ العاشقینَ عجیبُ

لقد دبَّ الهوى لكِ فی فؤادی = دبیب دمِ الحیاةِ إلى عروقی
Your love crawls gently in my heart, with the same tingling sensation that blood makes, when flowing in my veins and arteries. 6
إن یهدمُ العشاقُ ركنَ ولائهم = فبناءُ حبی راسخُ الأركانِ
Should lovers tear down the edifice of their loyalty, the foundations of my love are unshakable, defying destruction. 7
لو كانَ قلبی معی ما اخترتُ غیركمُ = ولا رضیتُ سواكم فی الهوى بدَلا
Had my heart been with me, I would have chosen none but you; nor would I have exchanged your love for anyone else’s. 8
لستُ أنسى من نأت عنیَ ما = دام لی فی هذه الدنیا رمقْ
