ة الله احمد جنّتي در سوم اسفند 1305 هجري شمسي در محله لادان واقع در غرب شهرستان اصفهان، چشم به جهان گشود. پدرش مرحوم ملا هاشم از روحانيون وارسته و بزرگي بود كه از شنبه تا چهارشنبه در شهر اصفهان حضور داشت و به تدريس علوم حوزوي ميپرداخت و روزهاي پاياني هفته را در روستا به سر ميبرد. مردم روستاي او كه بيشتر كشاورز و دامدار بودند و عمدتاً از نظر اخلاقي در جايگاه مناسبي قرار داشتند، اگر دچار اختلافي ميشدند براي حل و فصل مسائل خود به او مراجعه ميكردند، وي تا پايان عمر رابطهاش را با حوزه علميه اصفهان قطع نكرد و از محضر عالمان بزرگي همچون حاج آقا رحيم ارباب و حاج سيد علي نجف آبادي بهره برده بود در آمدش منحصر به وجوه شرعي و يا از طريق وعظ و خطابه بود. او يك فرزند بيشتر نداشت. مادر آية الله احمد جنّتي نيز زني پاك و صبور بود و علاوه بر خانه داري، قرآن و برخي از كتب ديني را تدريس و بعضي از جلسات مذهبي را نيز اداره ميكرد و با صبر و قناعت، زندگي ميگذارند.
برخي از فعاليتها و مسؤوليتهاي وي پس از انقلاب به شرح زير است:
1ـ دبيري شوراي هماهنگي تبليغات اسلامي
2ـ رياست سازمان تبليغات اسلامي
3ـ نمايندگي امام و رهبري در اتحادية انجمنهاي اسلامي دانش آموزان
4ـ عضويت در شوراي نگهبان قانون اساسي با حكم امام و رهبري
5ـ دبيري شوراي نگهبان قانون اساسي
6ـ امامت جمعة موقت قم، كرمانشاه و تهران
7ـ عضويت در شوراي پشتيباني جنگ
8ـ مديريت در دادگاههاي انقلاب اسلامي

Oh Allah,let our enemies become our brothers in Islam.
Oh Allah,grant those of them peace in their graves.
Oh Allah,calm their souls and give them high stages in Jannah.
Oh Allah,grant us the high places in Jannah.
Oh Allah,keep our legs firm when crossing the Pul -se-raat.
Oh Allah,give us our book of deeds in our right hand.
Oh Allah,give us the strength and will to let this book be overflowing
Oh Allah,accept this humble duah of ours..
Oh Allah,Set me Free, Set me free from the love of this world
Oh Allah,I love you and I want to love only you Oh Allah.
Soobe haana Rabbika Rabbil Izzati Ammaa Yasefoon,
