കാവ്യമാധവന്റെ മുന്‍ ഭര്‍ത്താവ് നിഷാല്‍ വിവാഹിതനാകുന്നു. മാവേലിക്കര സ്വദേശിനിയാണ് വധു. മെയ് 13ന് മാവേലിക്കരയില്‍ വെച്ചാണ് വിവാഹം നടക്കുന്നത്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തും ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലുമായി പഠനം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയ പോസ്റ്റ് ഗ്രാജ്വേറ്റാണ് വധു.
2009 ഫെബ്രുവരി അഞ്ചിനായിരുന്നു കാവ്യാമാധവനും നിഷാല്‍ ചന്ദ്രയുമായുള്ള വിവാഹം. വിവാഹശേഷം അഭിനയം നിര്‍ത്തി നിഷാലിനൊപ്പം കുവൈത്തിലേക്ക് പോയ കാവ്യ ഏതാനും മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ശേഷം ഭര്‍ത്താവും വീട്ടുകാരും മാനസീകമായി പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന കാരണത്താല്‍ നാട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് വിവാഹമോചനക്കേസ് നല്‍കിയത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഒന്നരവര്‍ഷത്തോളം കേസ്‌ നീണ്ടു പോവുകയായിരുന്നു.
കേസ്‌ മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുന്നതിനിടയില്‍ സ്‌ത്രീധനപീഡനത്തിന്‌ കൂടി കാവ്യ കേസ്‌ ഫയല്‍ ചെയ്‌തിരുന്നു.പിന്നീട്‌ ഇരു കുടുംബങ്ങളും തമ്മില്‍ ധാരണയാവുകയും കേസ്‌ പിന്‍വലിക്കാനും സംയുക്‌തമായി വിവാഹമോചനം തേടാനും തീരുമാനിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
