jhooti hansi hansne ki aadat ho gayi hai
zindagi teri yaadon ki ibaadat ho gayi hai
bas saans chal rahi hai is murde mein ab
rooh to tere saath hi rukhsat ho gayi hai
apne honthon par sajaa kar tujhe,
ham tere hi geet gaana chahte hain,
jal kar bujh jaana hamari kismat sahi,
bas ek baar roshan hona chahte hain......
ab bhi har subah teri yaad chali aati hai,
din hamare sang bita kar raat ko hi jaati hai,
