· الإسلام دين الرحمة :

والإسلام دين الرحمة فقد عمل على نشرها بين الناس، وقد وصف الله نفسه في مواضع كثيرة بالرحمن والرحيم، وجعل هاتين الصفتين متلازمتين في كل موقف يبدأ فيه المسلم بالبسملة فيقول : "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" سواء في الصلاة أو في غيرها .

ومدح الله نبيه محمدا - صلى الله عليه وسلم - فقال تعالى :

"فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ" (آل عمران : 159)
